Privacy Policy for My Apps

Last updated: 27 June 2026

This privacy policy applies to the personal apps developed by Tom Alby: One Line a Day, Distill, Website Analyzer, Sodalis, and Toms GymTracker (each, “the App”). Your privacy matters to me. This policy explains what data the Apps collect, how it is stored, and how it is used.

Data Collection

With one exception (Toms GymTracker, see “Advertising” below), the Apps do not collect, track, or share any personal data with third parties: no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs.

Content You Load

Some Apps fetch content you choose, for example web pages, RSS feeds, files, or websites you crawl, directly from the relevant sources to your device. Any such data is gathered by you and stored locally on your device. It is never sent to me, and I can neither see nor access it.

Data Storage

Your data is stored in two places:

  • On your device: your content is saved in the App’s private storage.
  • In your private iCloud account: if iCloud is enabled, your content syncs via Apple’s CloudKit service to your personal iCloud storage, so you can use it across devices signed in with the same Apple ID.

Only you have access to your data. As the developer, I cannot read, access, or retrieve it.

Notifications

Some Apps offer optional local reminders. These are triggered on your device and do not involve any external server. You can turn them on or off at any time in the App’s settings.

Third-Party Services

The Apps use Apple iCloud (CloudKit) solely to sync your data across your own devices. Apart from the advertising in Toms GymTracker (see “Advertising” below), no data is shared with any other third-party service. Apple’s privacy policy applies to iCloud storage: apple.com/legal/privacy.

Advertising (Toms GymTracker only)

One exception is Toms GymTracker: the app is free and shows discreet banner ads via Google AdMob. On first launch the app asks for your consent, as required by iOS, and you decide whether personalized advertising is allowed. Your training data is not used for advertising. All other apps listed here contain no advertising.

Data Deletion

You can delete your content at any time within each App. If you delete an App from your device, its locally stored data is removed. To delete iCloud data, manage your iCloud storage in your device’s system settings.

Children’s Privacy

The Apps are not directed at children under the age of 13 and do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with an updated date.
