A few years ago, I came across A. Abela’s Chart Suggestions, which provides an excellent overview of data visualizations. However, I noticed that a few commonly used visualizations were missing, such as BoxPlots (which I personally find invaluable) and diagrams for displaying data overlaps. Additionally, some of the charts included in the original overview were rarely, if ever, used. This inspired me to create my own version of the overview.
