Interface Guidelines

In the previous section, the two participants of human-computer interaction were briefly introduced. Now, an examination will be undertaken of interface design principles which have been formulated in order to bring both participants together. In addition to general principles, Apple Computer's Macintosh Human Interface Guidelines and Microsoft's Windows Interface Guidelines for Software Design are supposed to help programmers to design their programs according to the "look and feel" of a particular system.
